VIRM: Entry certification amendment 1 November 2018 now live
The preview package for the 1 November 2018 VIRM: Entry certification is now available to preview before it goes live.
In this amendment
- Incorporation of interim amendment (increase of ‘delivery miles’ for heavy vehicles, heavy trailers and class NA motorhomes to 1000km)
- An otherwise new any vehicle that has been damaged to the point that it requires any specialist certification for the repairs must be treated as used
- Certified English translations must be provided for all documents not provided in English
- Clarifications about meeting lighting standards
- References to VIA added.

The changes goes live on 1 November 2018.
Important: on 19 October the NZ Transport Agency issued an update to the seatbelt and seatbelt anchorages sections of the in-service and entry VIRMs. Vehicles with three-point seatbelts imported and distributed by BVL (Business Ventures Limited) and manufactured by Changzhou BWD, China should be failed for WoF and CoF, and entry certification should not be completed. |
